About

Kate has a DPhil in Sociology from the University of Sussex and an MSc in Social Policy and Planning from the London School of Economics, and over 18 years’ experience in qualitative research. She specialises in interview manual and topic guide development, literature reviews, qualitative data analysis and report writing.

She has extensive experience in health and healthcare-related research, including work for NHS and health sector clients such as Health Education England, the Health Foundation, NHS Improvement and the Social Care Institute for Excellence, alongside private-sector healthcare clients. She has carried out interviews with patients on randomised clinical trials for over five years.

She co-authored a peer-reviewed publication in the European Journal of Cancer, drawing on interviews with patients and their spouses to capture personal descriptions of early treatment experience with mogamulizumab for mycosis fungoides (MF) and Sézary syndrome (SS).
